AI Systems & Technical Delivery Lead

Islamabad, Pakistan (Remote-first → future Islamabad office) · PKR 100,000–200,000 / month · AI / Software Engineering / Automation · Remote · Full-time

NEXIO24 is an early-stage technology company building AI-driven operational systems for hospitality, customer support, workforce management, maintenance, finance operations, and business automation.

We are building much more than individual automations. Our goal is a connected operational platform where AI agents, employees, managers, external systems, workflows, evidence, permissions, and business rules work together reliably.

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who can design the architecture, build critical parts himself, guide developers, review their work, and take technical responsibility for delivery from idea to production.

This is not a pure management position and it is not a role for someone who only produces diagrams, prompts, or technical recommendations. You must be able to understand a business requirement, convert it into a solid technical architecture, divide it into executable tasks, supervise implementation, test the real result, and prove that it works.

The architecture we are developing already uses concepts such as middleware validation, deduplication, circuit breakers, AI triage, reviewer queues, proof gates, role restrictions and immutable event logging. Our existing workflows also separate intake/ticket creation from proof, QA and ticket completion so failures can be isolated rather than allowing one large automation to control everything.

What you'll own

You will take technical ownership of our core platform and help management turn the company roadmap into working systems. You will:

  • Design and maintain the overall system architecture
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, workflows, database structures and development tickets
  • Build and supervise AI agents, automation workflows, APIs and integrations
  • Coordinate developers and ensure their work fits the wider architecture
  • Review code, architecture decisions, pull requests and releases
  • Break major projects into clear Jira tasks with ownership, deadlines and acceptance criteria
  • Keep GitHub branches, commits and Jira work properly connected and traceable
  • Integrate external systems such as workforce tracking, project management, communication platforms, hospitality systems and internal tools
  • Build reliable event-driven workflows using APIs, webhooks and automation platforms
  • Design human-in-the-loop workflows where AI handles routine work but correctly escalates uncertain, sensitive or exceptional cases
  • Own authentication, permissions and data-access architecture
  • Ensure employees can only access the information they are authorized to see
  • Design monitoring, logs, alerts and operational dashboards
  • Investigate bugs and production incidents down to their root cause rather than applying temporary fixes
  • Control AI/API usage, retry behaviour, duplicate events and runaway automation costs
  • Maintain documentation so another competent engineer can understand and continue the system
  • Help management evaluate new technologies without constantly rebuilding the architecture around the newest tool

One of our fundamental engineering principles is No Proof = No Closure: important actions must have evidence and the correct validation path before the system accepts completion. Our current design uses separate execution, proof, QA and human-approval controls rather than allowing the same actor to perform and approve an action.

Mission Control

A major part of your responsibility will be our internal Mission Control platform. Mission Control brings together operational and employee activity so management does not have to manually check multiple systems. This includes areas such as:

  • employee activity and working-time visibility
  • Jira/GitHub development evidence
  • operational tickets and deadlines
  • employee EOD reporting
  • automatic cross-checking of reports against real system evidence
  • alerts and exceptions
  • missing-hours and recovery workflows
  • employee and manager portals
  • historical performance information
  • AI-assisted evaluation
  • weekly/monthly management reporting
  • audit trails and evidence
  • role-based access controls

The objective is not employee surveillance for its own sake. The objective is to create an accurate operational source of truth where claims, work, evidence, exceptions and management decisions can be reconciled automatically.

AI & automation architecture

You should be comfortable designing systems where AI is a component of the architecture rather than the entire architecture. For example:

Incoming event → validation → deduplication → circuit breaker → AI classification → ticket/workflow → execution → proof → QA → human approval where required → event log → reporting

The system must remain safe even if an AI model makes a mistake. Our existing engineering work already includes protection against duplicate webhook bursts, sender-frequency loops, workflow loops, excessive retries and abnormal AI usage before AI processing is allowed to continue.

What you'll need

Ideally 6+ years of practical software engineering / systems experience, including meaningful technical ownership. Strong experience with several of the following:

  • Backend development and APIs
  • JavaScript / TypeScript and/or Python
  • REST APIs and webhooks
  • SQL and data modelling
  • Authentication and authorization
  • Role-based access and row-level data security
  • Git / GitHub
  • Jira or equivalent project-management systems
  • Workflow automation such as n8n
  • Redis, queues, caching and event-driven systems
  • AI/LLM APIs and AI-agent architecture
  • Logging, observability and debugging
  • Cloud deployments
  • Security fundamentals
  • CI/CD and controlled production releases

Experience with hospitality, customer support, workforce systems, SaaS or multi-tenant/white-label platforms is a strong advantage.

The person we're looking for

We care considerably more about what you can actually build and operate than job titles. You should be someone who:

  • thinks in systems rather than isolated features
  • can challenge a bad technical idea respectfully
  • does not hide problems until a deadline
  • tests things using real scenarios
  • expects evidence before calling work finished
  • writes clean and understandable technical documentation
  • understands both engineering quality and commercial urgency
  • can manage developers without becoming only a project manager
  • can work independently without needing management to design every technical solution
  • knows when AI is useful and when deterministic code or human approval is safer
  • understands that a working demo and production-ready engineering are not the same thing
  • takes responsibility when something breaks

Working with management

You will work closely with company management. Management defines the business objective and operational requirements. Your responsibility is to determine how those requirements should be engineered safely, realistically and efficiently.

We want someone who can say:

"I understand what you're trying to achieve. Here is the architecture, here are the risks, here is what we should build first, and here is how we will prove that it works."

Not someone who simply says yes to every request.

Location & hours

Remote in Pakistan initially, transitioning toward our future Islamabad office. Core collaboration follows European business hours, although our operations run 24/7. Occasional work outside normal hours may be necessary during releases, incidents or critical deployments. Approved overtime is paid.

Compensation

For this role we would position the range around PKR 100,000–200,000/month, depending heavily on demonstrated technical ability and leadership experience. Performance-based increases and bonuses can follow once responsibility and results have been demonstrated. For an exceptional candidate who can genuinely own architecture and delivery, we'll stay flexible rather than losing them because of an arbitrary salary ceiling.

How to apply

Apply via our application form and select AI Systems & Technical Delivery Lead as the role you're applying for. Candidates should provide:

  • CV / LinkedIn
  • GitHub profile
  • Examples of systems personally built
  • Production applications or platforms they have worked on
  • Examples of API/automation/AI architecture where relevant

Shortlisted candidates should expect a practical technical assessment based on a real operational problem, not only a theoretical interview.
